We’d love to hear from members of the public about how learning BSL has changed their lives, and how BSL can bring us together. We’ll share your videos (with your permission) on our social media channels.


Please send your video clips (no longer than 2 minutes) in BSL or English (with subtitles, please) to lauren.harris@bda.org.uk by 18 March to be included in our #SignLanguageWeek campaign!


WHAT ARE THE AIMS OF SIGN LANGUAGE WEEK 2022?

Our ambitions for this year’s campaign are to:

  • Get the nation talking about BSL – and signing in BSL!
  • Promote greater public understanding of the Deaf community and our unique, beautiful, visual language – British Sign Language.
  • Motivate politicians and policymakers to recognize BSL and provide equal and inclusive access to public services and information in BSL.
