Tell us your story: I was born in Manchester and moved to Ashford Kent I have been involved in the BDA for over 50 years

First Branch Sec then, Chair of the BDA North West Regional Council, then Executive Councillor of the BDA I am currently the Chair of the BDA 2009 –

I began working with the BBC See Hear TV programme as a Researcher, Film Director, Producer finally becoming Series Editor

After leaving the BBC I became the first CEO of BSLBT (BSL ZONE) and was there for 8 years, finally retiring in 2012

I am also a Member of the Board of the World Federation of the Deaf and International Disability Alliance

I am committed to the equality of deaf people and to get BSL Legally recognised
